Igho is one of the Head Coaches alongside James, with a B.Sci in Sport. He specialises in strength and power development using different training methods, mainly traditional strength work and bodyweight gymnastics strength. He has competed at a high level in athletics (mainly running very quickly in a straight line) and at a decent level in regional rugby in the UK/Ireland and he believes that maintaining a strong, fit and healthy body should be part of balanced lifestyle for everyone.

Igho wants to help people improve their quality of life by becoming stronger, more mobile and more resilient to reduce injury.

JAMES HARGREAVES |HEAD COACH

James is one of the Head Coaches alongside Igho, and a keen athlete and coach at Workshop. James has completed a double degree, a B.Ex.Sci and B.Bus (Sports Management). He also keeps himself very busy running his own personal training business, See The Ability, that specialises in mobile training of individuals with special needs. Most of his spare time is eaten up by his training to become a competitive CrossFit athlete.

He has a passion for getting results, helping others with their health and exercise journey and also having a laugh. After all, training should be fun!

 
 
 
 
 
 

ISAAC LAWRY | HEAD COACH & BW STRENGTH COACH

Isaac is our bodyweight strength and skills coach. His background is in Circus, martial arts, parkour and specialises in handstands.

With a bachelor in circus arts, certificate 3 & 4 in fitness, he has worked as a professional circus performer, Hand-balancing & acrobat coach and has trained martial arts in China. He is passionate about helping people develop a solid base of strength, mobility, and functional movement. To provide a great foundation for life and any movement pursuit you want to want to get into.

 

TAYLAH HAMILTON | S&C COACH

Taylah is one of our coaches at Workshop Gym with a background in sport, specifically netball. She has completed her Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Accreditation along with her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She is hoping to complete her Masters in Exercise Physiology.

She has a passion for netball, playing the sport herself and has experience coaching and programming elite athletes in strength and power.

Taylah enjoys helping people build a foundation level of strength and seeing them progress in training and achieve their individual goals, whether that be in a sporting context or day-to-day life. 

 

JASON COX | S&C COACH

Jason is one of our strength & conditioning coaches at Workshop Gym. Jason loves his sport and has a background playing state level junior cricket and also played football. 

Jason is currently Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Box Hill Hawks in the VFL & also works for Xavier College within their elite sporting program where he thrives in helping teenagers gain confidence & realise their dreams. He also has previous experience at Cricket Victoria & the Victorian Institute of Sport. Jason is passionate about helping people enjoy pain-free exercise, whilst helping people become more athletic, strong & powerful to ultimately enrich their life.

 

KATE LINFORD | WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

Kate Linford is a national level athlete and coach. She is an Australian Weightlifting certified coach and currently holds a Level 2 State Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach. She has also completed a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education.

Kate brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise coaching with the Victorian Weightlifting Association, having assisted with youth development and leading both the Under 15 & Under 17 (Youth), and Under 20 (Junior) & Under 23 state representative teams at national championship events. She was also the Assistant Coach with the Australian team at the World Youth Championships in Mexico last year.

 

DEEYA MAHADOOA | REHAB PLUS

Deeya is our in-house Manual Therapist/Psych with a purpose of helping individuals get stronger physically and mentally. She combines her qualifications in Remedial Massage, Psychology and Strength & Conditioning to provide a well-rounded assessment and treatment with the goal of improving one’s overall health.

She has a keen focus on muscular imbalances and compensation patterns, working closely with individuals to reduce pain, increase muscle functioning, correct technique or form, understand their bodies, whilst addressing mental health components such as stress, anxiety and lifestyle habits to ensure long term results.

 

KELVIN LEUNG | STERLING PHYSIOTHERAPY

Kelvin is the founder and director of Sterling Physiotherapy, and has 10+ years of experience in the sports and healthcare industry.

Working closely with professional athletes and surgeons across Melbourne, Kelvin is passionate about providing optimal care and exercise coaching, and will ensure you have a structured plan towards your goals.
